Here’s another fun project perfect for the holidays on Soap Queen TV!
In this episode I share how to make Orange Slices, which you may remember from this series of blog posts I did in 2008. Using our Orange Spice Fragrance Oil, this project has been transformed into a wonderful Holiday treat.

Ingredients:

Click here to add everything for this project to your Bramble Berry shopping cart (you can always add or remove items before checking out)
Other tools you’ll need:
Heat safe container for melting soap
Microwave (or a double boiler)
Spoon or stirring implement
Spray bottle with Rubbing alcohol
Knife or soap cutter
Note: The Orange Mica has since been discontinued at Bramble Berry, but you can use the brand new Perfect Orange Color Block to get a similar color! Try it and other color blocks out here.

  1. What’s a good alternative to the orange mica colorant? It’s not available on brambleberry.com. I’m considering tangerine wow.

Thanks for the tutorial it’s great!

    1. Hi Jami!

We no longer carry the Orange Mica, but you can substitute the wonderful Tangerine Wow! for it.

If the Tangerine Wow! is too bright for you, you can use a little bit of Brick Red Oxide or Brown Oxide Pigment to darken it a bit.

  2. Amazing! Soap making so intrigues me! I wish I was closer to take a class!

  3. They do add a nice rustic packaging look, don’t they? It’s a surprisingly simple packaging option.

  4. I love these orange slice soaps, but I have a question. When I play my
Soap Queen Videos the sound & picture keep breaking up. I’ve been trying
to Join Vimeo – I think it went through?? Is there anything else I should be
doing? It takes forever to watch a short video & it’s driving me crazy!!
    Thanks, Joanne

  5. Funny! It’s always my least favorite part (go figure). Then again, I don’t think anyone likes to see themselves on camera!

  6. Thanks Debbie. That is high praise coming from you. =) I love the way the white soap looks as it’s spreading between the pieces. =)

  7. What a great project! I love all of the steps and fun techniques. Plus the burlap bag design is so smart and attractive!
