This is the last soap carving post for a while – unless there is a massive amount of interest in this long-lost craft (?).
The soap artist-e says:
“Carving soap is stupid hard, but smells neat.”
It is apparent to me that’s it’s a clear vote for soap over sandstone in a carver’s repitoire.
If I had an ounce of carving ability, I would design a fabulous carving project for the blog. Maybe we could do a guest posting! Anyone out there know how to soap carve??

I have never seen soap carving before~ like all fine trades~ sometimes they make their appearance for us to enjoy again. What fun~ soaping has endless possibilities!
Soap carving reminds me of my grandfather. It is what he said should be practiced on before wittling wood.
