I’m so excited. We’re headed to Napa this evening to go wedding-location-shopping for my little brother Erik. My husband Chris, Erik, his soon-to-be wife Cheriss and I will be visiting 5 churches tomorrow and doing two cupcake tastings. Yummy! The goal is to try as many cupcakes as possible because Cheriss is leaning towards cupcakes for the wedding. Yippeee!

I’m doing (cough cough) research today on cupcakes and came across some great new blogs on cupcakes:

Hello Fortune

Hopefully we’ll have some great family fun photos starring cupcakes and soap to post when we get back late Sunday night. I’m bringing the laptop so expect normal posting from the road.

  1. Hey! Came across this blog. I’m also looking for a cupcake supplier in Napa for my wedding next year (so no rush). I hope they make rally nice ones coz the ones i’ve seen online sure look yuMMy!

  2. Pregnancy Lent? Hilarious term. I’ve never heard that Heidi. And, I can’t wait until you’re able to have a cupcake again as well. They definitely enhance my life. =)

Teresa, I’ll have to go check out that Woman’s Day page and drool.

Jessie, yes “Bravely Sticking to Research Goals” when it comes to cupcakes was a hard job but someone had to do it. =)

  3. I commend you for bravely sticking to research goals from the road. Tough work, I know. 😉 All of those websites totally ROCK too!

  4. MMMMMMMM cupcakes!!! I can hardly wait until May 8th…my pregnancy lent will be over = ) A cupcake would have been the perfect ending to my pickle sandwich tonight hehe.

  5. Thanks for your link 🙂 Wow, lucky you going to the Napa Valley and doing cupcake testings. Sounds like lots of fun!

  6. Yep, cupcake planning here for a wedding too! My husband, some very good friends & myself will be the cupcake creators~ in May. We currently are in the hunt for a cupcake tower/holder that will hold 100-125 cupcakes. I’m thinking Etsy… 🙂

  7. You’ll know for next time – $1.50 at least! =) It’s hard to charge for something that’s so much fun to do so I think we all tend to under value our work because we love making/doing/crafting.

  8. I had a cupcake tree for my wedding. Used the Wilton garden stand and had a handmade cake topper on the top tier. Absolutely lovely, were able to offer a variety, and we didn’t have to worry about someone cutting/serving cake.

  9. Oohh cupcakes at the wedding! Yum!

I got $1 per cupcake, so $24 for the whole box. But I’m thinking I should’ve charged more for the ones with Frangelico and Nutella. Those ingredients aren’t the cheapest.
