Today was a busy day at the office. With Christmas-Gift-Giving season in full swing, Bramble Berry is very blessed with an abundance of orders (thanks everyone!). I’m very excited about some of the projects that we’re working on for Christmas; (shhhh, there’s a possibility that some may appear first on the Martha Stewart Radio Show … I’ll keep you posted)and I can’t wait to share them with you.

As a wonderful way to relax and do a bit of good, my husband and I went to a lovely charity auction and dinner. Thankfully, we finished the evening by taking third at the Dessert Dash. Have you heard of a Dessert Dash? The short explanation is that everyone at the table donates (anonymously) into an envelope. The table with the top donation wins the first choice at dessert… and then it goes down from there. Literally, each table has runners who actually run up to a table of desserts and choose the best one. The last table (the lowest donating one) gets stuck with the plate of Twinkies. Chris and I have gone to three charity dinners/auctions in the last two weeks. Our last two tables haven’t done so well at the Dessert Dash. We’ve ended up with sort-of slightly edible desserts and the shame of not donating enough to place in the top five.

But tonight was different. We took third for donations out of all of the tables. Check out the dessert we won from La Vie En Rose, an amazing chocolate torte with a depth and richness not typically seen outside of well, a deep sea ocean expedition in shrimp-laden waters.

After we got home, I ended the night (about five minutes ago) by replenishing my lettpressed “Thank You” cards from Letterpress Light. Check out the wealth of design riches in their thoughtful card prints. I can hardly wait for these luscious cards to arrive next week.
