I can’t believe that my new book, Pure Soapmaking, is finally here! This book has been such a labor of love. It took over a year to formulate and test the 32 cold process recipes in the book, and I’m so proud of each and every one. If you pre-ordered a book on Bramble Berry, they should be arriving very soon! If you haven’t yet, you can still grab a book along with three free gifts (only from Bramble Berry!) if you order before January 26th.

To celebrate the launch of the book, I will be signing Pure Soapmaking books at 7 p.m. on February 12th at Village Books in Bellingham. If you live in Bellingham or the surrounding area, I would love to meet you. I will also be talking about the book writing process and taking questions from the audience. I’ll also have soap from the book that you can take home!

  1. I did get my signed preorder book 🙂 but getting it signed in person would be altogether a different experience , will you be posting a video / Q& A of your book signing event?

    1. I will be! The goal is to live Periscope it (user name @brambleberry) if all goes well with technology. Thank you so much for your support and enthusiasm. It means a lot to me =)

  2. Well, that’s two soapers that commented in Chicago. It’s like a sign that I should go buy that mobile home, plaster it with a Soap Queen wrap and take three months to drive the country on a book and signing tour … right? =) I love that dream! It would be soooo fun. But in the meantime, thank you for your support Cindy. I so appreciate it.

  3. The book is awesome, I got mine on Friday! I can’t wait to get some of these recipes created. It’s clear that a lot of care went into this book, just like the previous one. So wonderfully and professionally done with clear instructions, tips, information, and photos. So creative. So many other books that I’ve looked at don’t even come close. And I like that it is the same size and design as the first book, they fit good together 🙂

    1. Do the recipes use lye or is that not considered pure? I ordered one the other day and prefer to use lye. I hope it does!

      1. Hi Sarah!

All of the recipes in the book are made with lye! It contains 32 cold process recipes with lots of fun designs. There are embeds, swirls, alternative liquids like milk and wine. Hope you get a chance to check it out. 🙂

    2. Thank you Michael! I’m so glad you got your book! =) Yay!

I feel so lucky to work with the same publisher on another book. They really ‘get’ how important clear photos are and chose one of the best in-process photographers in the business for this book. I also really like how this book looks totally different than my first book but as you point out, they still work beautifully as a pair. I’m so excited that you like the book and I can’t wait to see what you create with it. =) Thank you for your support.

  4. Dear anne marie,
Can you also allow for us international customers to buy your book online as its frustrating we are such die hard fans of yours and want to get access to your book ASAP,
    Thanks for your understanding ….

    1. Hi Tina!

The book is able to be shipped internationally, so you can order it from BrambleBerry.com! Also, Cindy is correct – that book is available on Amazon (thanks Cindy!) 🙂

    1. Martina, my big and crazy idea is to get a Soap Queen trailer and take my family with me as I do a 3 month tour all around the US, signing books and teaching classes. Wouldn’t that be a total dream?!

  5. I wish I was close. I would definitely be there. I’ve learned so much watching your videos and reading the Soap Queen posts. It would be great to meet you. I hope it goes very well!

  6. Good luck Anne-Marie, I am sure it will be a fun day. I wish I lived somewhere near Bellingham…

    1. Thank you, Annemieke, for the support. It’s going to be such a fun day and, I can’t wait to celebrate with friends, family and readers. I am so excited! It hardly feels real. I’ve been working on the book for almost two years so to hold them in my hands is just incredible.

  7. Hi Anne-Marie!
Can’t wait for your newest book come out! I would have been there for your book signing, but that’s kinda difficult living in Chicago! Best wishes for great success! You’re AWESOME person to know! 🙂
