Happy Saturday! Today is a low key day with the family, including lots of reading books about St. Patrick’s Day, doing art projects, and playing in the backyard (weather permitting). This weekend I’m also spending any spare time reading over my scripts for Soap Queen TV. The team and I will be filming three full-length videos and one shorter video demonstrating the new Multi-Pour Tool for 10″ Silicone Loaf. The full-length videos include a recipe for shaving cold process soap and the spin swirl shown below. I can’t wait to share it with you. =)

- This Key Lime Pie Chia Pudding uses the magic of chia seeds to create a creamy pudding along with avocado, lime juice and coconut milk. Yum!
- On the sugary end of St. Patrick’s Day treats, these Pot of Gold Cupcakes are adorable. The little pot of gold is actually a Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup, how clever is that?
- The colors in this Rainbow Handmade Soap by Little Pea Soap and Bath Inc. are beautiful! They are made with the Rainbow Sampler Pack.
- St. Patrick’s Day is the perfect time to make green soap. This Dublin Mint Irish Soap by All Things Herbal is perfectly festive.

The soap below was made using a patterned silicone mat cut to fit the bottom of the 9 Bar Birchwood Mold. These mats will be available soon, and can be cut to fit just about any size mold. =)
It’s so exciting to see my Pure Soapmaking book being read all over the world. Below, it made it all the way to Moscow! That world-traveling book is dream come true.

- I love this redesign by Erica Pence of Bath Alchemy Lab. She used the Annatto and Yarrow Cold Process Kit and made it completely her own.

I too look forward to the mats! I’ve been making some of my own molds lately, but somehow balk at trying make a mat. I’m dying to give that technique a try.

Anne-Marie, I noticed you rated “Brooklyn” on Goodreads 2 stars. Just curious why? It’s on my to-read list. 🙂
Ah, yeah, this was a tough one for me. My book club read it and most of them LOVED it. There were a couple of us that just hated it, mostly for the ending and because the main character was very passive.
However, in book club, the discussion was really on “how were women stuck in that time period” (meaning, the main character may have seemed passive but think about the time that she was in – she had many less choices). So I softened in my thought process after that.
Many of the women in the book club LOVED the book – and supposedly the movie is amazing =))) Let me know what you think after you read it. =)
I can’t wait for the mats! Will they fit in the 18 bar mold? I just threw out another $20.00 of silicone trying to make a mat of lace. ????
