DividerMoldTest1

DividerMoldTest2
I was so excited to get to work today to see the swirls I made up last night. The batch did not go through gel phase (my soap studio was kind of cool last night) so you can see that the colors have diminished in intensity and hue. But, I still am excited about them and love the look. I am a bit impatient so I think I’ll freeze the batch solid to see if I can get the soap out a day or two earlier than if I let it air dry naturally.

This is the recipe I used (screenshot from the iPhone Soapmaking App):

PS: See the little soaps off to the right hand side of the big loaf? That’s the project I’m working on for tomorrow’s blog post. It’s down to the wire to create the cutest soap project I can for your Easter soaps! =)

  2. I pour at a more thin trace AND make sure that the fragrance I’m using doesn’t accelerate trace too much.

  3. Is there anyway you could post the CP recipe you did the swirl on in a 3lb. batch size please? I don’t have the iphone app. I’d love to make the cp soap but in a much smaller batch. Thanks so very much!

  4. How did you keep the top so smooth? Usually with all the different swirls mine starts to get lumpy. Ittr looks great.

  5. To clarify my below answer: Bramble Berry will have the molds for sale late next week in a 6 pound size and then add a 10 pound size the following week. I love love love the size.

  6. I did white, colors, white, colors, white and finally colors and then did some careful nifty spatula work with it. I can’t wait to photograph it and show the final bars =)

  7. Thanks Anne-Marie. Can I ask did you pour the whole lot of white in then swirl around the colours or did you do white then colours and white then colour layers? It looks great I am very impressed. Might have to give it a go!

  11. So far, I am loving it! It really allows for a better conversational experience since I can reply directly to comments instead of just one big paragraph.

  12. Awesome – let me know when your soap blog is up so I can be sure to put it on my list of frequently visited blogs. =))

  13. Bramble Berry will have those fabbo molds in about two-three weeks. This was one of my final tests.

  14. In 141 ounces of total product, I went way excitedly over the top and used 10 ounces of Energy and Yuzu. I’m crazy for scent and usually go way overboard.

  15. oh the colors came out so pretty! It really pays off doing swirls with 4 colors 🙂 gotta try this out too.

  16. Ist etwas ungewohnt, aber wir sind ja lernfähig.
Die Seife sieht toll aus, bin gespannt, wie sie fertig aussieht.
